Drew Barrymore wept during an emotional reunion with ex-boyfriend Justin Long, saying she “will always love him.”
The 47-year-old talk show host wiped away tears after hugging the actor, 44, on Monday’s episode of his “Drew Barrymore Show.”
Barrymore, who dated her “Going the Distance” co-star from 2007 to 2010, told Long that she is “really grateful” to have had him in her life.
“I will always love you very much,” he said. “You were so important to me. … I feel like we’ve been through a lot together.
“When we used to talk and FaceTime, he would always say, ‘You know, I’ve really grown up, Justin,'” she continued. “I always wanted to show you that he was a different person than when we were dating.”
Long returned the sentiment, calling the actress “the best.”
He gushed, “I love that we kept our love because I know for one that it will never go away. I love you forever. I’m glad we can still have that. I want to say that. Always love You.”
The former couple went on to reflect on the “chaos” of their “hedonistic” relationship.
“We’d get together, we’d break up,” Barrymore recalled. It was fun.
Barrymore explained in July: “He is one of the sharpest and most resourceful [people]. It’s brilliant and it will just blow you away with laughter.”
Long, who has been in a relationship with Bosworth, 39, since 2021, was previously linked to Amanda Seyfried.
As for Barrymore, the winner of the Golden Globe was married to Will Kopelman from 2012 to 2016, and the former co-parent’s daughters Olive, 9, and Frankie, 8.
“I’ve had some in-person dates that I would have given anything to be on Zoom,” he said on an episode of his show. I don’t talk about my children [on these dates] because I think we probably have to get to know each other first.”
Barrymore added that she never intends to marry again, clarifying that she might “live with someone again” one day.
